Hey Matt - I think I'm in. I've got an early AM job but I should be able to make it by 10. Where we going to meet?

Lets make it the usual, Starbucks in Castaic. Many ways to make it to Rowher from there. As a substitute to Rowher, I wouldnt mind a hitting that ridgeline trail that has all the hill climbs in Drinkwater.

By the way, if we need to move our meeting time to 11:00 or 11:30 so you dont have to rush then that is really not a problem.

Matt (Nole in Cali) and I rode Rowher today, and I had a great time! I hadn't been there in a few months, and everything was pretty groomed: fast and fun. We rode ALL the single track down in the park and climbed Rowher Trail for the big finish. Too bad Matt's Husaberg ate it's own taillight and a couple of fuses on the way up. It was touch-and-go for a while, with some trailside wrenching and elect. gremlin-chasing, but all ended for the best :) Good trail mix, good pace and Matt was ready for anything. :-o lots of fun and will ride with Matt anytime.

So bummed I couldn't make it. I love some of the single tracks in Rowher.

I'll second Aaron8 on a great ride last weekend. Rowher trail, the one with all the hill climbs, was alot of fun. I wouldnt mind running that one multiple times in a day. Technical issues are getting addressed. I was tempted to redesign the darn rear fender assembly myself but luckily I found someone who beat me to it. Purchased an aftermarket rear fender assembly with integrated taillight and turn signals. It sits higher and is more sturdy than the stock part. License plate holder is flatter so my rear tire doesnt eat it. I'm attempting to reinforce the rear upper fender as well to get rid of that crazy flip flopping when I ride the fun stuff. I expect the part to be here Thursday (5/23/2013) or Friday. As for the fuses blowing, I'm not sure what where to go with it at this point. I'm thinking there is short somewhere. I'm continuing to troubleshoot that problem.

If my bike is ready and I have cured its bad habit of eating fuses and taillights I'd be interested in a ride this weekend. Anyone interested?

Mark - when are you coming back home?

Matt - I'm pretty good at electrical. After restoring all the cars and bikes I've gotten pretty good at running down electrical issues so let me know if you want some help. My guess is if you're still blowing fuses a wire got pinched when your back end got ripped off and it might be grounding against the frame. In regards to riding; I'm around this weekend. The only time
I don't have is Saturday morning. I've got a memorial service for a fellow rider friend who lost his fight with cancer.

Not sure about the riding, seems kinda flat where Im. Have not see many motorcycles at all.
Still kinda wet weather wise. Yep very green, lots of trees.

I should be back by the end of June :ride: :ride: :ride:
