i live here in castaic and dont know anyone that rides, i see that a bunch of my neighbors have bikes I'm not about to start knocking on doors haha i ride motocross and i just bought a street legal xr650r and just got my permit so if anyone would like to go ride after work or when ever let me know!!

Don't' know much about practicing for a Barstow2Vegas ride, but I frequent the trails in the area.

I'm in for some local rides as well. Would like to try 7N23 but I've heard it's closed. I ride a 2003 XR650R, intermediate rider. I like a challenging ride but not balls to the wall.

Also looking for someone who knows the dirt around socal. I Live in sunland ( north east san Fernando valley-- near big & little T. But everything I know is closed. Keep me in mind if you don't mind riding with an old man, probably consider myself a beginner now because i but haven't hit any real dirt in years and that wasn't with a 300lb dual sport.
