Memorial Day Ride Check...

Postby stazi64 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 3:11 pm

Finally got a carb on the DRZ that works....

Slapping the gear on at 6am... Be at Mikes Diner at 6:30am...

If others show up by 7:30am, ride is open for discussion... If not I'll just take off in one direction and see what happens?

Man it's been a long time since I rode a bike that actually worked right... and it sure is fun !!!

Got it, thanks. I'm planning to be there, but not for b-fast. If I'm not there by 7:31 don't wait up. Blue shirt on a Husky. -Roger

Roger...

Sorry bike started acting up...after you left, I took it down the wash in front of the house a couple times just to see what it'd do...even dumped it once in the thick sand. But it fired right up??? I'll take it back out this evening and see what happens...

I only had about another hour left in me anyway... I'm going to have to ease back into it...I must have sweat out 10lbs today... Muscling that DRZ back and forth through the sand is a work-out !!!

Anyway, I'd be glad to ride sweep when ever you go out riding again...

Til next time...

No need to ride sweep, Stazi. I was going 8/10th and every time I looked back you were right there. :excuseme:

I only did another hour myself. Went over Drinkwater to Rowher and then home. See you soon.

Just came in from another ride to Mikes Diner and back... Bike was fine. I'm going to caulk up that little mishap to leaving the ignition on from the time we stopped til the sheriff showed up. It seemed fine before and so far its been ok since we bumped it...

You climbed the "MONSTER" solo ??? I have too but I don't think its such a good idea...? There's some gnarly rocks going up that bad-boy, if you came down wrong on one of them ...

Anyway...it was cool meeting up with ya and I'm looking forward to next time.
