Read your post and watched some videos on youtube. Snowy Trail is crazy, is that really run? I'm taking a Xanax just to come down from the videos.

I'm a firm believer in trying it for myself. I heard about a lot of hard trails and easy trails and I've found that the only way I'm going to understand it is to just try it.
Having said that, I'm not going to be foolish and venture off all alone on a trail like that. So, when somebody else is ready to try it, I'm definitely up for the challenge.

I guess this ride is a "NO GO" and I'll ride somewhere local instead.

No problem. :excuseme: Maybe in a few weeks, I'll post again and see who's ready.

Yeah Nitro, Snowy is defitnitely an adventure you should try at least once. That video was cool and showed how gnarly it can be. There are quite a few rock ledges along the trail like the one that rider had a problem with. I think its a good idea to postpone, partly due to the weather. I think its going to be hot and humid again and there is something about that canyon that the air is very still and it really radiates the heat. After I rode it I bought a larger water bladder for my pack and also a water purifier so that I could drink stream water if I ran out. There is a nice stream at the bottom of the canyon -maybe that contributes to the humidity. After you work your way out of the canyon, there is a really nice ridge that you ride and then it drops into a beautiful canyon with lots of trees, stream crossings and lush vegetation.

Hey, if it was easy, no one would be talking about it.

Ain't that the truth.

In a few weeks it will be cooler, Fubar will be healed up and hopefully you and Bushwacker can ride with us too. It's nice to have riders who know the route.

I was following this thread the last days.
The snowy trail video is awesome. No "drive-alone" trail, for sure.

I was lookong for LPNF.... Is that Los Padres National Forest?
I was taking a look at satellite pictures. Looks very interesting.
.....I am jealous

Me for myself, I had a nice tour yesterday here in Germany.
But ended up with taking some soil samples on a very muddy harvested potatoe field.... :?
I took a nice looking mud camouflage and a sternal contusion.
Not bad but little bit painful at my age.

Have you taken some pics on your ride?

Greetings and have fun,

Elmar :D
