New in Town. Looking for riding partners

Postby Nole in Caly » Sun Mar 10, 2013 8:12 pm

Hello All. I recently moved here from Central Florida and would like to get a ride together. I have been to Rowher and Drinkwater already and it was a blast. I must say dual sporting in California is leagues above what Florida has to offer. Anyone up for a ride March 16th or 17th?

17th may work for me. I took my bike out for a short test ride  a few weeks ago for the first time in %%#@# way to long.
Bike ran great but when I parked it in the garage I noticed a gas leak  . Not sure if it was the pitcock or the hard as rock fuel line. Need to replace on saturday, should be good to go.

Mark,

17th works. Good luck on troubleshooting that gas leak. Did you have any locations in mind...I'm up for just about anything. Any ideas on where to meet up before hand?

Fixed the leak, for now anyway. I was thinking of heading up Lake Hughes Road to Ruby Canyon.
Head north on 7N01 up to 7N05 to The Rock Inn for a bite to eat. Have not been up there in awhile, but they used to make a pretty good pulled pork sandwich. Will probably be a slow :ride: for me. I was planning on starting at the Starbucks on Castaic road in Castaic. 5 North exit Lake Hughes road turn right and then right again on castaic road. How about 9am :excuseme:

I'd like to join in on this ride... I'll have to truck my bike down from Frazier Park... Is there a safe place to park my truck?

Parking near the Starbucks gets a little crowded. Just south in the same shopping center near the auto parts store would be better.

Alright, I'm going to have to bow out of this ride... :? Might be able to get a quick ride in Hungry Valley, but I need my afternoon free...

Mark,

Many apologies about today. I had an unforeseen problem come up yesterday and had to travel back to central Florida to take care of it I will be back Tuesday of next week though. Hopefully we can try again soon to make a ride happen. I will heading out to drinkwater one day after work this week and over next weekend for sure. Many apologies again for the no show.

A ride Sunday sounds great. Same route up to the Rock Inn as you proposed for last week? I'm good with a 9:00am start time as well.
