Hey Mike, welcome to the site.
Tell us a little about yourself; what do you ride and where do you like to go?

Some guys ride more street than dirt, I'm mostly dirt than street. Some guys like adventure rides, others prefer simple and quiet travels along the road.

Well here's how it goes i've been riding for 42 years. I have raced desert for many years, the tecate 250,baja, chase, B to V, Hare and hounds and 10 years of motorcross etc etc. I am into single track, hill climbs, desert, extreme trails. I ride aggressive and like to rip it up. I have a group of friends that are desert racers and we go camping alot during riding season to spangler, cal city, dove springs, red mountain, el paso, etc. I also ride the local mountains, I do scouting on my bike before hunting season, I'm an archery hunter and 3rd level instructor. 07 KTM 525 EXC.

I'm still heading out to test the fixes I made to my bike. I modified the mounts on my taillight/license plate unit. The last set-up broke the brackets. I fabricated some new mounts and relocated my red reflectors. Just want to see how it's going to hold up under some rough riding conditions.

I'll catch up with you on another ride.

Bummer Nitro...

I left this morning around 9am to get breakfast and get rent $$$ from ATM...I somehow got turned around and threw a left on McBean instead of a right??? Anyway since I found myself on Old Road I cruised Haisley Cyn to Romero Rd...explored a little bit back in there, no gear on so didn't go everywhere I wanted to, but it was still fun. Circled back and took Sloane Cyn back to Castaic and hit Starbucks for a minute. Then it was Charlies Cyn / San Fran Motorway over to San Fransicquito Cyn and home. So my riding is done for the day...sorry I missed your post !!! I even thought about it for a second then looked at the clock 3:52pm...it'd take me until 5pm just to get gear on my fatass... Next time.

Hope you had a good one...

Hey, no problem.
My ride turned into a short night ride as I wanted to test the trails up at Rowher. They are much tighter, and not as fun to ride at night, than the trails at Gorman.
I had fun anyhow. A few rider were camping out in staging area 1.
I did "Spring" to "Flat" trail and finished it off with "Texas".

With the real tight turns I could have used a headlight. I have this RayoVac light, I just need to figure a way to mount it to my helmet without too much damage. It's the Sportsman model and really bright. I figured if I could mount one on each side of the helmet it should be perfect.

My tail section held up fine and looks better than before. If it continues to hold up (more abusive riding) maybe I'll clean up the fabrication and paint it to match.
