Roger - I went to Death Valley again Feb. 20-23. The snow was as low as 5,000 feet but we got up to 6,500 with no problem at Agueberry Point. The Skidoo area ist lower but the snow was too deep to get through. The Racetrack, Lippincott Mine and Saline Valley areas are perfect for riding now. Titus Canyon was closed due to rockslides, unfortunately. Hunter Mountain was not passable to to snow.

Up at the north end there is a little bit of snow around Hawthorne. Rockchucker: The snow pack in the Inyos around Bishop looks pretty thick. But around Hawthorne it looks to be very light.
What do you think? Can we bull our way through that stuff?

We finally have a ride plan!

We are leaving on April 10, good Friday, and returning Sunday April 19. That gives us 10 days to ride the 700 miles of SMTS route seven.

Friday morning, April 10th, we are riding up to Big Bear to eat a lunch/dinner. At Big Bear we are going to head south on SMTS route 1 toward Rim Rock. SMTS route 7 starts about 7 miles north of Rim Rock on SMTS route 1. We will camp on the trail Friday night.

Saturday morning we will hit Barstow, that will put us about 70 miles into route 7 and about 80 miles from Big Bear.

Rockchucker: How are we going to meet up with you on the trail?
