Is anyone going on the WMRS ride this year? If you havent been, Its an informal event. Just show up, camp and find like ppl to ride with. Camping is at Browns Campground next to the Owens river near Crowley lake just outside of Mammoth. No need to make reservations. Aug 2-5th.

Ill be there>>>> http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=793467

This sounds awesome...!!! I've ridden my Harley past the Bristle Cone "sign" 3-4 times on my way up to Wash, but never had the time to ride up there and check it out.

Problem is, I can't get the DRZ to run right at 5100ft much less 13K !!!

Maybe take a carb off a DR-110 and slap on the 400...lol

I have a FCR39 currently set-up with (155-45-200-100) emn 3rd clip, 3x3, Yosh pipe w/arrestor.

Anyone else going to have to go through jet drama to do this ride???

Well I have ridden Mammoth several times but have yet to actually make it to the research center. There is so much to ride and explore up there that I just ride what feels good. My CRF seems to start acting up about 10.5K ft but some time Ill attemt the 12K  I just run normal jetting on my bike with lower octane.
Dont let it stop you. Just Ride! :ride: :)

I'm told that if I remove the cables; the carb can be spun and the MJ replaced fairly easily...

Its been my experience when something says "Easy bolt-on, Install in minutes...or any other such implying EZ upgrades...

It takes me 3hrs, lots of cussing and usually some kind of jerry-rigging...

And I wouldn't want to ride around all day with the bike acting like it was on the 4th of July at 5100ft !
