Howdy Guys and Gals...

My name is Robert and I'm a recovering bike-aholic.

I grew up in Granada Hills, went to COC (made a three-year school out of it actually !). Dad lived in Paradise Ranch. Castaic was WAY OUT there when I was a kid !

Spent my youth racing at Indian Dunes, Bay Mare and the desert for a few years.

I've probably ridden most every trail in the SCV. I'm sure you guys have a few to show me as well.

We're usually Cal City (Camp "C") locals from Oct to M/E May.

I'd be up for a morning ride, and as long as we stay moving !

I'm looking to get together with any of you that have rides planned. Hopefully get one in here before it gets too hot ( although it's s'pose to be scorcher this W/E).

I remember riding at Indian Dunes. That place was great. Too bad their insurance coverage wasn't as good as it is today at most tracks.
I met Steve McQueen there when I was a kid. He rode there a lot I'm told.

I too went to COC and hung out in Granada Hills. (Buddies Ryan, Dean, and Cal used to ride too)

Santa Clarita is still one of the best places to live if you like to ride. It's got some great trails and roads and close enough to anything else you want to ride.

Why Johnny you are showing your age. I too remember Indian dunes ( I mean somebody told me about it) Too bad too as that was a fun place.

No doubt about it. I remember when Steve had a hanger out at SP airport with all his bikes in it.

I just found out last week that the motorcycle jump he made in the great escape was staged he didnt do the jump Bud Ekins did. What a dissapointment. Still a great movie & a great dude.
